Fred Carstensen, Director
In June 2006, Fred Carstensen successfully contracted with the State of
Connecticut to enable the Connecticut State Data Center. As Director of the Connecticut
Center for Economic Analysis (CCEA) since 1997, Professor
Carstensen has successful completed more than a 100 studies during his ten years' tenure. Concurrently,
Carstensen has been involved in the collection and preservation of Connecticut business archives since he came to UConn in 1982
as an Associate Professor.
Professor Carstensen graduated from the University of Wisconsin (Madison), and received both his MA and PhD from Yale University.
Orlando Rodriguez
, Manager
Orlando Rodriguez, Manager and Demographer, is the
Primary Contact for CtSDC.
He recently completed the state and town population projections for
Connecticut (2005 to 2030). He has authored or contributed to various publications in the
CtSDC Reports folder.
Orlando has a B.S. in Geology from Louisiana State University and an M.A. in
Geography from Ohio State University.
Jill Coghlan, Data Librarian
Jill Coghlan has been CtSDC Data Librarian since July 2006. In the first half of 2007, she surveyed Group Quarters data for Connecticut.
She assumed Webmaster responsibilities in April 2007.
She was engineering information specialist
for the Sun Microsystems Library in Burlington, MA for eight years, before transitioning to
Project Manager for a Software team developing a high-end server interconnect.
Jill graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a BA in American History and a minor in mathematics. She holds an MA
from the College of William and Mary and an MLS from SUNY/Albany.
